Anton Pilgram (circa 1450-1516) was a Bohemian sculptor and architect known for his works in the late Gothic style.

He was born around 1450, probably in Brno, in what is now the Czech Republic. Little is known about his early years of training, but it is known that he worked in various locations in Central Europe.
One of his early significant works was his participation in the work on St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague, where he collaborated with other notable architects and sculptors of the period.

Pilgram is particularly famous for his work in St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna. Here, he made significant contributions with sculptural and architectural works, including the pulpits and the so-called "Fenstergucker" (the man looking out the window). This sculpture depicts a man looking out of a window, and it is believed to be a self-portrait of Pilgram himself. This figure has become an icon of the cathedral and a symbol of Viennese Gothic art.

Working during a period of transition between Gothic and Renaissance, Pilgram left a lasting mark on the architecture and sculpture of Central Europe. His works are appreciated for their artistic quality and stylistic innovation.

Anton Pilgram is remembered as one of the leading sculptors and architects of the late Gothic period, with a significant legacy left particularly in his Viennese and Bohemian works.
