Molière was the pseudonym of Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, a renowned and prolific French writer and playwright of the 17th century. He is known as one of the great exponents of comedy in literature and theater. He wrote numerous outstanding theatrical works, such as "Tartuffe" and "The Bourgeois Gentleman", which are still performed today. He also founded the theater company called "La Troupe de Molière".
