Domenico Antonio Vaccaro (1678-1745) was a renowned Neapolitan artist of the Baroque and Rococo periods, highly skilled in painting, sculpture, architecture, and drawing. Despite his father's desire for him to pursue a legal career, young Vaccaro secretly nurtured a passion for drawing. After obtaining his father's consent, he studied under the guidance of Francesco Solimena, soon demonstrating his talent in both painting and sculpture. His career flourished with significant commissions for churches and palaces, both in Naples and in other cities in Campania.
