Hi, my name’s Rick, and I’m your personal guide. Along with MyWoWo, I’d like to welcome you to one of the Wonders of the World: Tramonti.
Tramonti, hidden among the beautiful green valleys of the Lattari Mountains, offers a unique experience, far from the hustle and bustle of the more famous seaside resorts. This village, whose name literally means "between the mountains," is a mosaic of thirteen hamlets.
Each of these tells a story, has at least one church, and is perfect for enjoying a peaceful, quiet walk.
Among the best-known hamlets are: Pucara, with the Conservatory of San Giuseppe and Santa Teresa, dating back to the late 17th century; Gete, with the rock chapel dedicated to San Michele Arcangelo; Campinola, home to the evocative "secret garden of the soul"; and Paterno S. Arcangelo and Paterno S. Elia, home to delightful historic churches.
I definitely recommend a visit to the Rock Chapel of San Michele Arcangelo, located in the hamlet of Gete: a fine example of rock architecture, with elements dating back to the 13th century, and medieval frescoes inside depicting stories from the Bible and patron saints....
