Villa Melzi is a neoclassical villa located in Bellagio, on Lake Como, Italy. It was commissioned by Duke Francesco Melzi d'Eril, viceroy of the Kingdom of Italy under Napoleon, and built between 1808 and 1810. The villa is surrounded by magnificent landscaped gardens offering spectacular views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The architecture of the villa is characterized by neoclassical elements such as Ionic columns and triangular pediments. Today the villa and its gardens are open to the public and represent a much appreciated tourist destination for lovers of art and beauty.
