The Pazzi Chapel is named after the powerful Florentine family connected to the famous conspiracy discussed in one of the Cathedral's audio files. It is considered a pure example of humanism and one of the finest and most refined masterpieces of Filippo Brunelleschi. The construction of the chapel began three years before the great architect's death. The chapel features a rectangular interior surmounted by a circular dome and is adorned with delicate sculptures on the unfinished façade. The interior showcases beautiful inlaid panels covering the doors and colored terracotta tondi by Luca della Robbia. The perfect proportions and pure beauty of the Pazzi Chapel make it a notable example of Renaissance architecture.
