The Bosco Verticale, also known as the "Vertical Forest", is an architectural project located in the city of Milan, Italy. Designed by design studio Stefano Boeri Architetti, it was completed in 2014. Bosco Verticale is made up of two high-rise residential towers, which house apartments, as well as a variety of trees, plants and vegetation on their balconies. The idea behind this project was to recreate an urban forest, providing residents with a greener environment and better air quality. In addition to improving the quality of life of residents, Bosco Verticale also contributes to biodiversity by providing a habitat for birds and insects. Additionally, tower vegetation helps filter and absorb fine particles from the air, thereby reducing pollution. The Bosco Verticale has become an architectural icon in Milan and has won several awards for its innovative approach to sustainable design.
