Massimo Stanzione was a Neapolitan painter who lived in the 17th century. He was an important representative of the Neapolitan school of painting and is considered one of the first Baroque painters in Naples. His works are characterized by their elegant and delicate style, as well as by the use of intense colors and great attention to detail. Stanzione specialized in painting religious and mythological themes, as well as portraits. Some of his most well-known works include "The Flagellation of Christ" and "The Martyrdom of Saint Andrew."
