The Monaco di Lapio Palace, in Naples, is located along Via Toledo. Built in 1551 by Cristoforo Vitale, it passed into the hands of the heirs of Giovan Pietro Mangrella in 1578, who donated it to the Benedictines. Rebuilt in the 17th century by Giovan Battista Nauclerio, it acquired its late Baroque appearance in the 18th century under the design of Pompeo Schiantarelli. In 1920, Baron Rinaldo Monaco di Lapio inherited the palace and made modifications. The facade, with arched pediments and imposing balconies, is decorated with busts. The courtyard features a scenic 18th-century staircase and several statues. The interiors retain decorated ceilings, and between 2017 and 2018, the exterior facades were restored.
