Trajan was a Roman emperor who ruled from the year 98 to 117 AD. He was known for his military conquests and successful governance. During his reign, the Roman Empire reached its maximum territorial extent, spanning from the Atlantic to the Caspian Sea. Trajan was also known for his construction projects, including Trajan's Column in Rome, which commemorates his military victories in the Dacian Wars.
