Melozzo da Forlì

Melozzo da Forlì was an Italian Renaissance painter born in Forlì in 1438. He is known for his skill in representing perspective and his use of the chiaroscuro technique. His most famous work is "The Assumption of the Virgin," which is located in the Church of the Holy Apostles in Rome. He also worked on frescoes in the Cathedral of Forlì and in the Basilica of San Marco in Venice. His style influenced later artists, such as Raphael and Leonardo da Vinci.
