Daniel Seiter (Vienna, 1642 or 1647 - Turin, 1705) was an Austrian painter active in Baroque Italy. He apprenticed in Venice with Johann Carl Loth and in Rome with Carlo Maratta before moving to Turin. He decorated the Chapel of the Ospedale Maggiore, painted the "Daniel Gallery" in the Palazzo Reale, and frescoed the Villa della Regina. Works such as "Selene and Endymion" and "The Four Elements" adorn the Palazzo Reale and the Villa della Regina. For the Ospedale di Carità, he painted "Assumption of the Virgin with Faith and Charity." Other paintings are displayed in Turin churches and in the Sabauda Gallery. He also worked in Germany and ended his career in Turin.
