Antonio Vivarini was an Italian painter of the 15th century, belonging to the Venetian school. Along with his brother Bartolomeo, they formed a prominent painting workshop in Venice. They were known for their skill in painting altarpieces and in the tempera technique on panel. Their style was characterized by attention to detail and realistic representation of figures. Among their most famous works is the altarpiece of San Zaccaria, created for the Venetian church of the same name.
