The Scuola Grande di San Rocco is a Renaissance building located in Venice, Italy. It was one of the "Scuole Grandi" of the city, which were important social institutions in Venetian life between the 15th and 18th centuries. These schools were like guilds or associations of people who performed the same work or were a foreign community residing in the city. Although they were not religious associations, the schools often bore the name of a saint. The Scuola Grande di San Rocco is known for its architectural splendor and, above all, for its collection of dozens of canvases painted by Tintoretto, a famous Venetian Renaissance painter. The building houses an impressive personal display of the painter's works, where he likely showcased the best of his talent.
