Jacopo Bellini was an Italian Renaissance painter, born in the 15th century. He was one of the earliest to excel in the art of portraiture and also dedicated himself to religious painting and manuscript illustration. He was the father of two renowned painters, Gentile Bellini and Giovanni Bellini, considered masters of the Venetian Renaissance.
