Cansignorio della Scala (1340-1375) was an Italian military leader, lord of Verona from 1359 to 1375 alongside his brother Paolo Alboino. After conspiring against his brother Cangrande II, he took control of the city in 1359. He ruled with moderation, enriching Verona with works such as the Navi Bridge and the Gardello Tower. On his deathbed in 1375, he ordered the assassination of his brother Paolo Alboino to ensure the succession of his sons Bartolomeo II and Antonio.
