Hi, my name’s Rick, and I’m your personal guide. Along with MyWoWo, I’d like to welcome you to one of the Wonders of the World: East Coast Park, the largest park in Singapore.

During your stay in Singapore, if you fancy a little peace and quiet and a beach atmosphere, perhaps in the shade of palm trees waving gently in the breeze, without leaving the city center, East Coast Park is the place for you.

The park covers an area of almost two kilometers on the south-east coast of the main island of Singapore, with a marvelous beach of white sand stretching for 15 kilometers.

The beach is entirely man-made, and is protected from the tides and currents by breakwaters, making it suitable for bathers all year round. It is also equipped with 80 barbecue pits, so you can cook whatever you fancy and spend the whole day on the beach with family or friends. Of course, if you prefer, there are also restaurants or food stands where you can eat.

If you prefer a more active holiday, you can enjoy all sorts of sports in the park, such as beach volleyball, bowling or miniature golf.

You can go skating or rent a bicycle and pedal along the path that runs right around the park, or dare to tackle the ramps in the "Xtreme SkatePark", built so that extreme sports enthusiasts can show what they’re capable of.

The Xtreme SkatePark has numerous ramps for skateboarders, cyclists and bikers, divided into three levels of difficulty, ranging from simple obstacles, such as steps, bumps and open spaces, to a deep bowl that requires advanced skills.

Since it is on the sea, the East Coast Park also offers the chance to try numerous watersports, including waterskiing, and angling enthusiasts can try out their skills along the pier.

If you have kids, you’ll also find a large playground with rides, slides and castles.

Let me leave you with an interesting fact: if your children enjoy scribbling and drawing, just walk into any store, ask for a free piece of chalk and let the little ones unleash their creativity on the sidewalks in the park.
