Hi, my name’s Marcy, and I’m your personal guide. Along with MyWoWo, I’d like to welcome you to one of the Wonders of the World: Jurong Bird Park.

Jurong Bird Park is the largest in the world in terms of the number of birds, and the second largest in terms of both number of species and surface area, after the Weltvogelpark Walsrode in Germany. It is home to 5,000 birds of 400 species, 29 of them threatened with extinction.

Jurong Bird Park is located on the western side of Jurong Hill, the highest point in the region. Work on the Park began in January 1969, and it was opened on January 3, 1971. It underwent renovation work in 2006.

It is divided into a number of sectors, one of the most interesting of which is the African Waterfall Aviary, the second largest in the world, with over 600 free-flying birds of more than 50 species. The aviary is named after the Jurong Falls, one of the world's highest man-made waterfalls, which can be admired inside....
