Sant Crist de Lepant, also known as Saint Christopher of Lepanto, is an important religious sculpture found in Barcelona, Spain. This sculpture depicts Saint Christopher, a Christian saint traditionally associated with protection from dangers, particularly when traveling. The work is located in the Catedral de Barcelona, which is a magnificent example of Catalan Gothic architecture. The sculpture of Sant Crist de Lepant is a remarkable work for its imposing size and its realism. It was created by the Catalan artist Rafael Atché in 1888. The statue measures almost 9 meters in height and weighs approximately 10 tons. It represents Saint Christopher carrying the infant Christ on his shoulders, as Christian tradition dictates.
