The Royal Palace in Barcelona is a Romanesque building with a Gothic decoration of arches and rosettes. It was originally built around 1150 but has undergone additions and enhancements over the years. Today, it is primarily a 14th-century Catalan Gothic structure. Adjacent to the entrance portal is the Palatina Chapel, a beautiful 14th-century chapel dedicated to Saint Agatha with an octagonal tower.
