The Casa de la Panadería in Plaza Mayor is known for its beautiful frescoes adorning the facade. The building dates back to the late 1500s and has been rebuilt several times over the centuries. Its name comes from the fact that its ground floor originally housed a public bakery for the poor. Today, the Hall of Columns in the Casa de la Panadería serves as the seat of Madrid's Central Tourism Office.
