The Albert Memorial in Hyde Park is a striking Neo-Gothic canopy erected by Queen Victoria in memory of her husband, Prince Albert. The memorial is located at the southern end of Kensington Gardens and features intricate decorations, including hundreds of carved figures. During the Second World War, the statue of Prince Albert was coated in black to protect it from aerial bombing. It stands as a poignant tribute to their enduring love and Albert's significant impact on British society and culture.
