If you’re walking along Collins Avenue, you must stop at number 1685 and admire this magnificent hotel, which has become one of the cult places of Miami Beach, both for its original Art Deco architecture and for the celebrity guests who have always stayed here.

This famous hotel was built in 1947, on a design by the architect Robert Swartburg, commissioned by the entrepreneurs Rob Schwartz and his wife Rose. The Delano underwent a total restyling in 1994 by the renowned architect Philippe Starck. At the time it was built, the tall, four-winged tower that rises in the center of the façade made the Delano the highest building in Miami. Hollywood’s most glittering stars have stayed here, and the hotel is rumored to be the no. 1 favorite with the singer Madonna on her visits to the city....
