Philip Johnson (1906-2005) was an American architect recognized as one of the leading proponents of the architectural movement known as the International Style. He was known for his modernist approach and his ability to combine traditional elements with contemporary innovations. Some of his most famous works include the Lipstick Building in New York and the Glass House in Connecticut. Johnson also had a significant influence in the field of architectural theory and was an advocate for urban design.
