The Battle of White Mountain was a significant military confrontation that took place on November 8, 1620, near Prague, in the Kingdom of Bohemia (present-day Czech Republic). It was a clash between the forces of the Catholic League, led by the army of Emperor Ferdinand II, and the Bohemian Protestants led by Frederick V, Elector of the Palatinate. The battle resulted in a decisive victory for the Catholic League and marked a turning point in the Thirty Years' War.
