The Haus des Lehrers, also known as the "house of the teacher," is located at Alexanderplatz in Berlin. One notable feature of this building is its enameled glass mosaic frieze, which has remained intact since the Communist era and has not been destroyed or covered. Alexanderplatz is also famous for being the setting of the novel "Berlin Alexanderplatz" by Alfred Döblin, with a passage from the book displayed in German on the former Haus der Elektroindustrie nearby, which now houses the Ministries of Environment and Family.
