The Corridor of Vasari in Florence is a famous passageway connecting the Uffizi Gallery with Palazzo Pitti, passing over the iconic Ponte Vecchio bridge. Designed by Giorgio Vasari, this elevated walkway offers a unique experience for visitors, showcasing a remarkable collection of around 1,500 self-portraits by various artists spanning the 1500s to the 1900s. Apart from its artistic significance, the Vasari Corridor also played a historical role as the only passage from the north to the south of Florence on liberation days.
