Battistello Caracciolo was an Italian painter born in Naples in 1578 and died in 1635. He was one of the main exponents of the Neapolitan painting school of the 17th century. Caracciolo was known for his skill in fresco painting and for his religious works, portraits, and mythological paintings. His style was characterized by the use of chiaroscuro and a palette of vivid colors. In addition to his artistic talent, he was also recognized for his ability to portray realistic facial expressions and intense emotions in his works.
