Casa Balduini, located in Piazza Duomo in Trento, was built in the 14th century and features the oldest external decoration in the city. In the 15th century, it was the residence of Arcangelo Balduini, physician to Prince-Bishop Johannes Hinderbach and Emperor of Austria Frederick III. Over the centuries, the palace has undergone various modifications. The decoration of the exterior façade, carried out between 1470 and 1475 at Balduini's request, exhibits Gothic elements such as the pointed arch of the portal and the obstructed windows on the second floor. In the 18th century, the building was expanded in height. The exterior decoration, restored in 1941, is attributed to the painter Bartolomeo Sacchetto from Verona and features garlands, leaves, and fruits on a white background, with Renaissance friezes and the coat of arms of the Balduini family above the portal.
