The Carignano Palace is a masterpiece of civil architecture located in Turin. It was built in just six years for Prince Emmanuel Philibert. Designed by the architect Guarino Guarini, the palace stands out for its recessed main facade, which allows the central body of curved forms to stand out. Inside, it features a hall on the upper floor with a high arcade and a vestibule on the ground floor with two spiral staircases. Over the years, the palace has undergone modifications, including the removal of the garden and the transformation of the stables into the National Library. During the Risorgimento, the palace became a governmental seat and its size increased considerably.
