Michele de' Molinari, known as Michelino da Besozzo (circa 1370 - circa 1455), was an outstanding Italian painter and illuminator of the International Gothic period. He mainly worked in Lombardy and the Veneto region. He excelled in frescoes, miniatures, and religious paintings. Among his works are the Book of Hours and the Annunciation of the Offiziolo Bodmer. He worked in Lombardy and Venice, contributing to codices and creating frescoes in the Chiesa di Santa Corona in Vicenza. From 1418, he returned to Milan, working on the Duomo and other works, including the Madonna dell'Idea. His legacy includes influence on sacred music during the 19th-century Cecilian Movement.
